Malle, Louis

► (1932-95) Director cinematográfico francés. Es un autor inteligente y de gran versatilidad. Fue premiado en el Festival de Cannes por El mundo del silencio (1956). Películas: La pequeña (1978), Au revoir les enfants (1989) y Herida (1992), entre otras.

Director de cine francés. En 1957 realizó su primera película, Ascensor para el cadalso, y con la comercialmente exitosa Los amantes (1958), protagonizada por Jeanne Moreau, se consagró como una importante figura de la nouvelle vague francesa. Con los filmes El fuego fatuo (1963), El ladrón (1967), El soplo al corazón (1971) y Lacombe, Lucien (1973), logró un realismo emocional junto con una simpleza estilística. En 1975 se mudó a E.E.U.U., donde dirigió largometrajes como La pequeña (1978), Atlantic City (1980), Mi cena con André (1981), Adiós a los niños (1987) y Vanya en la calle 42 (1994).
